Take Action! The 8 Patriotic actions to Reclaim Our Flag
Americans have the opportunity to feel empowered by the flag, connect with historic democratic Resistance movements and visually reclaim the true ideals of our Flag. We mean no slight to the patriotic individuals in these photos, we are proud they are actively engaging - which is more important than waving the Flag itself; we have EDITED our Flag into copies of the photos to show how incorporating our Flag would have multiplied the democratic and patriotic impact of their efforts - both to them and the observers.
The "Patriot 8" Actionable Steps to Reclaiming our Flag

Step 1 - Commit to being actively engaged in our Democracy. How you engage in activism is up to you. For suggested organizations who are engaged in activism:

Step 2 - Today Buy 1 large and 10 small American Flags. If you have a Flag, buy more.

Step 3 - Incorporate our Flag in all your democratic efforts and actions (which are themselves meaningful acts of Patriotism). Waving a Flag does not make you patriotic - engaging in your Democracy to insure Liberty and Justice for All - does.

Step 4 - Intentionally reclaim our Flag as a democratic action. To do so CLICK and print a ReclaimOurFlag Declaration template below and add what you are fighting for and/or whatever inspires you to engage our Democracy. CLICK and print below options or make your own:

Step 5 - Take photos/videos of yourself when you get your first Flag and at your next and all democratic action declaring with the template Declaration.
Step 6 - Post these images on social media and tag us at ReclaimOurFlag (or send us your pix). "Engaging your Democracy selfies - are the best selfies"

Step 7 - Give 5 of our Flags you have bought to people in your social circle - and tell them why you are fighting to reclaim our Flag and our Democracy (and about the ReclaimOurFlag movement). Direct them to "ReclaimOurFlag". Tell them to buy 10 Flags and do the same - and also to spread the word. Step 8 - Display our Flag at your home. Put in your window at home, get a Flag pole, on your door. When you come home you will feel inspired and you are part of the greater good striving for a better America. Others will know a Patriot lives at your address.

By reclaiming our Flag with the "Patriot 8" you will promote Democracy and demonstrate that :
-you are a Patriot striving for Liberty and Justice for all Americans
-you are continuing in a long glorious history of American Resistance movements who have aligned their actions with the values idealized and represented in our Flag and who added their own logos to the tapestry of American progress
-you are demonstrating to others what you are fighting for
-you are inspiring hope that our Nation and Union have common
-you are demonstrating that you are a patriotic American
-you are sharing with Americans a common symbol of our Democracy
-reclaiming our Democracy as a patriotic action
-reclaiming our Flag as a patriotic action
-reclaiming our Flag from extremists as their symbol of exclusionary Nationalism

TIPS:
* bring and display your large Flag at your next democratic event. If you/r group already has a banner or logo - fly an American Flag next to it.
* designate a Flag-bearer of a 3'x5' flag at every demonstration/meeting
* use actual Flags, colors of the Flag and images of the Flag in ALL of your demonstrations/meetings
* Suggested Size Flags:
-handheld 4"x6" and 12"x18" best for indoors
-arm span - easy to care for a rally 2'x3'
-3'x5' outdoors or indoor meeting​ - ideal for head/sides of marches, demonstrations

PRACTICAL INFO:
-curtain rods also function as accessible inexpensive flag poles
-most larger flags come with holes reinforced with metal loops (grommets)
-electric tape (stretched taut) is an sturdy means to attach grommets to flag pole, and holds flag in position on pole
-with smaller flags, that are on a stick - try to get without pointed ends (safer)

Additional star power to Reclaim our Flag:

Step 9 - Bring our Flag to any communication with your State or Congressional/political Representatives. Also identify yourself as a Patriot, because your engagement shows that you are.
​
Step 10 - If you are part of a group - discuss with your group how the Patriotic connections of your actions and find your own ways to Reclaim Our Flag. Remember - we need more people to join us and most Americans recognize the patriotism of those who respect and fly the Flag.

Step 11 - No Flag. No Problem. Draw your own, paint a flag on cardboard or a pillowcase.
